| When you are planning to book your
accommodation in Istanbul, please consider that in particular the month September is high
season for tourism and conference activities in Istanbul. For instance, we have been
informed that in September 2009, very close to the dates of the ARTE 2009 Workshop, a
Medical Congress will also be held in Istanbul, namely ECNP 2009;Therefore, extremely high
prices and a serious overload is expected for all hotels/motels in the whole city during
that period. Most of the hotels have already been blocked by different tourism/travel
agencies for the specific medical event and all ARTE 2009 participants are strongly
encouraged to take necessary precautions beforehand not to face any accommodation problems
later on. Please also be
informed that the agency with which we are organizing together the ARTE Workshop has
already pre-booked a few rooms in the Taksim and Sultanahmet Region, namely;

However, this reservation is valid only
until June 12th and after this date payment is requested. The participants should also
note that for reservation after June 12th, the agency cannot guarantee current prices of
the blocked rooms.
In addition, please be informed that 14
double rooms have been reserved for the ARTE'2009 participants in the student guest house
of Istanbul Technical University, Ayazaga-Maslak Campus. The prices are as follows;
- Price of the doublerooms for 2 persons:
70 USD (breakfast excluded)
- Price of the doublerooms for 1 person: 50 USD (breakfast excluded)
The rooms are a 3-4 min walking distance
from the workshop venue.

Sheraton
Hotel Ŭstanbul (5 stars) is located in Maslak at a walking distance (about 5 min) to
the workshop venue.
Mövenpick
Hotel Ŭstanbul (5 stars) is located in Levent, a bit closer to the city center
(Taksim, etc.), but only 5 min to the workshop venue by taxi.
Divan City Ŭstanbul (4
stars) is located in Gayrettepe and has direct access to the buses driving to Maslak (the
workshop venue). The distance to the workshop venue is about 20 min by bus.
Bebek Hotel (a boutique hotel) is located at the
Bosphorus. The distance to the workshop venue is about 20 min by taxi.
